Select the correct website and open LEX8 > Legal Documents Wizard. The current form displays its sections together; do not rely on older instructions describing a separate step-by-step wizard. Gather the facts before generating pages, since generation publishes the resulting documents.

Enter verified organization details

Under Company, complete Legal Name, Address, Country, and Jurisdiction. Under Privacy Officer, enter the responsible person's approved name, title, and contact channel. These values become disclosure material, so use information authorized for publication rather than personal details copied from an internal directory.

Inventory processing

Review Data Collection Points for contact forms, accounts, newsletters, and payments. Select the integrations actually used by this site. Answer the regulatory Automated decision-making / AI profiling question according to the site's processing, not simply because an assistant helped write a page.

Set Data Residency from actual hosting and processor arrangements. A dropdown selection does not move data or change a vendor contract.

Complete governance

Use Retention Schedule for categories, periods, and deletion methods. Under Lawful Bases by Purpose, record the purpose and applicable basis. Enabling a collection point can prefill a suggested row; review it rather than treating the suggestion as legal advice. At least one purpose-and-basis row is required when collection is enabled.

Review transfers, minors, recourse, and escalation information. Storage outside the selected region requires a transfer mechanism in validation. Confirm the factual and legal basis with the responsible team.

Choose Save Draft while information is incomplete. When ready, resolve validation messages before Save & Generate Legal Pages. Read every generated language and test footer links afterward.
