Creating and placing a form

Documentation / Media, forms, and integrations

A native form has a reusable definition and a page placement. Create the definition first, then choose it in the editor. Editing the definition affects the form wherever that identity is used.

Build the form

Open the forms area for the correct website and create a form. In the builder, set its name and description, add fields, and configure their labels and required status. Supported field types include text, email, phone, number, URL, multiline text, choices, dates, and layout elements.

Use selection, radio, or checkbox fields when respondents should choose from defined options. Keep questions limited to information you need. Although a file field is listed in the builder, the verified public submission path serializes values as JSON and does not establish binary attachment storage. Do not use it as an upload service without a separately verified implementation.

Configure completion and place it

In settings, review Submit Button Label, Success Message, Notification Emails, and Redirect URL. A configured redirect takes precedence over displaying the success state. Save the definition and its settings.

On the page, open Insert Form, choose the definition under Select Form, and choose Insert. If the picker reports no forms, create one in the admin first. Save the page after placement.

Handle consent explicitly

If collecting consent, use clear question wording and an appropriate field. This is separate from cookie consent, and native form controls do not establish the provider-embed consent behavior of another service.

Validate the submission

Submit representative test data from the saved public page, then check the stored record and completion response. Remove test records according to your retention needs.
