Create a campaign landing page with a contact form
Define the enquiry you need
Create a landing page with one offer, enough information to assess it, and a working contact form. This guide uses the native form system so field validation, spam controls, submission storage, and notification settings remain managed together.
Confirm administrator access to the intended website and permission to collect the proposed information. Prepare approved campaign copy, a real notification recipient, and a privacy explanation. For a workshop enquiry, name, email, and a short description may be sufficient. Do not collect payment details, passwords, or unnecessary sensitive information.
Configure the form first
- Open Forms and choose Create Form. Give the form a recognizable name so you can select the right one later. If Forms is unavailable, ask the website administrator to check feature availability; inserting imitation fields will not create a working form.
- In Builder, use Add Field to add Text, Email, and Text Area fields as appropriate. Set meaningful Label values and mark genuinely necessary fields Required. Put useful instructions in Help Text rather than relying on placeholder text that disappears during entry.
- In Settings, review Submit Button Label, Success Message, and Notification Emails. Enter only approved recipient addresses, one per line. Keep Enable Honeypot (spam protection) enabled and choose an appropriate Rate Limit (submissions/hour/IP). Check that Close Form is not enabled for an active campaign.
- Save the form configuration before placing it on the page. A form definition and the page that displays it are separate saved objects. A later change to the shared form can affect every page using it.
Build and connect the page
- In Pages, create or select the campaign page. Set its real header title and subtitle, then add a concise explanation of the offer, eligibility, and what happens after someone enquires. Include only dates and response promises your team has approved.
- Inside a body section, choose Add Block > Form. In Insert Form, use Select Form to choose the form you just configured, then Insert. Save the page explicitly. Do not paste a third-party script when a native form is the intended destination.
- Place a privacy-policy link near the request for information and check any campaign tracking against the site's consent settings. Publishing the page does not itself establish that its data practices meet legal requirements.
Test the complete enquiry
Open the normal page URL without administrator access. Submit an empty form to check required-field feedback, then submit clearly labelled, non-sensitive test data. Confirm the success message, the record under the form's Submissions, and the notification email. Storage success and email delivery are separate checks.
If no form appears in the picker, verify the website and saved form definition before retrying. If email is missing but the submission exists, investigate notification configuration and delivery rather than asking visitors to resubmit. See media, forms, and integrations and legal and privacy.
