Hosted video and external video embeds

Documentation / Media, forms, and integrations

Hosted video and an external video embed use different services. Beeboo's hosted player uses Cloudflare Stream video identities. An external embed depends on the provider's address, player, permissions, and scripts.

Use hosted video

Use the relevant video upload or picker control to upload a file or choose an existing video. Hosting must be configured for the site. Wait for the upload and processing result before treating the video as ready.

The hosted video component supports playback options including autoplay, mute, loop, poster display, controls, and aspect ratio. Available editor controls depend on the placement. Background video has a specific purpose: the background picker describes muted looping playback and uses the header image as a fallback.

Do not put essential spoken instructions only in a muted background. Provide equivalent written content and review accessibility requirements for captions or transcripts with your chosen hosting setup. The existence of a video block does not establish an integrated caption editor.

Use an external provider

Insert an appropriate link embed or paste the provider's supplied code into Embed Code. Confirm that the provider permits embedding on the public domain. Provider restrictions, account settings, and consent requirements can prevent playback even when the code is saved correctly.

A click-to-load preview or poster is not automatically the same as a complete consent arrangement. Review requests made before playback as well as after it starts.

Validate playback

Save the page and test outside the editor on desktop and a phone-sized screen. Check the poster, play action, sound behavior, controls, and fallback image.
