Buttons and calls to action

Documentation / Page anatomy and the managed editor

Use Buttons for a visible action or destination, such as opening a contact page or downloading a resource. A Buttons block stores a group of structured links rather than a picture of a button or styling hidden inside ordinary text.

Configure the group

Insert Buttons at the intended content position. The dialog provides Layout, Width, Alignment, and Size. Add items with + Add button, enter their labels and destinations, and inspect Preview before choosing Apply.

Horizontal and vertical arrangements serve different spaces. A fitted group suits short labels; full width can suit a narrow card or stacked layout. Choose the arrangement according to the containing section or Row rather than the desktop window alone.

Theme color choices follow the website theme or the page's color override. The preview uses the current palette and surrounding presentation. If theme colors are unavailable, reload before choosing them rather than guessing at the result.

Choose useful destinations

Use a recognized site page where possible so the destination can be normalized to a stable page reference. External addresses, existing fragments, email links, and telephone links have different purposes. Check that the selected destination matches the label.

Prefer labels such as “View pricing” or “Send an enquiry” over vague text that only makes sense next to a paragraph. Do not imply that a button submits a native form unless it is actually part of that form's controls.

After saving, test the links outside the dialog, including on mobile and with keyboard navigation. The dialog preview deliberately prevents navigation.

See Pages and navigation for page links and Design and styling for contrast and spacing.
