Editing the page header
Documentation / Page anatomy and the managed editor
The page header is a distinct page block outside JuBody. It can display the canonical page title, tagline, subtitle, and background media. Edit those responsibilities through their corresponding controls rather than building a duplicate title section inside the body.
Change the words
Open the page metadata and edit Page Title, Tagline, or Page Subtitle. The tagline appears above the main title and the subtitle below it when the active presentation uses those fields. Leave optional supporting text empty when it is not needed.
Ordinary page headers do not use the same unrestricted inline text editing as body Text blocks. Template editing is a separate context. Custom and shared headers can bind the same canonical metadata, so changing a visible title does not necessarily require editing HTML.
Adjust a native header
Select the header and open Header settings. Available controls include Presentation, Site logo, Width, Height, and Extra top spacing. Show title and Show subtitle control native visibility. Header media controls let you choose an image or video and adjust the supported media effects.
A template can lock the header. On a bound page, the settings may then expose image-specific changes without allowing the inherited layout to be rewritten. Respect that reduced control set.
A custom or shared shell header is read-only in the visual editor. Use the appropriate source controls or shared design settings instead. Never replace the real header block with a body section to evade this boundary.
After saving, check title wrapping, image crop, contrast, and the space above the first body section on narrow and wide screens.
See Design and styling for custom headers and shared shells.
