Forms and collection-listing blocks
Documentation / Page anatomy and the managed editor
A dynamic block displays or uses content configured elsewhere. Inserting a Form does not define its fields, and inserting a Page List does not create the collection's pages.
Place an existing form
When the site's forms capability is enabled, choose Form in the block picker. In Insert Form, use Select Form to choose an existing site form, then choose Insert. If no forms exist, the picker directs you to create one in the admin panel first.
The form block retains a reference to the selected form. Review field labels, required inputs, submission behavior, and notification settings in the form's own administration area. Do not infer successful notification delivery from the fact that the form renders.
Display a collection
Choose Page List and select the intended collection and supported presentation. The configuration dialog reads collection settings and offers different presets for dated and sequential content. A dated listing and a tree listing therefore need not expose identical display choices.
The listing derives its content from pages and their metadata. Review titles, summaries, images, ordering, and availability at the source. Editing the listing's appearance is not the same as editing the items it displays.
Validate a real page
Save the page, then inspect it at the normal website address. Test a form with non-sensitive sample data only when authorized, and verify the resulting submission through the configured administration tools. For listings, check an empty collection, the expected items, and their destinations where relevant.
Custom bodies can place existing native forms through a validated source placeholder where supported; raw form markup is not the equivalent feature.
