Sitemaps, indexing, and private content
Documentation / Search visibility and sharing
A sitemap lists eligible public pages for crawlers. It is not an access-control list, and absence from it does not prevent an otherwise reachable page from being indexed.
Understand sitemap eligibility
Beeboo serves a generated sitemap at /sitemap.xml. It uses computed public addresses, including collection hierarchy and language prefixes. Non-public and future-dated pages are filtered, as are standalone system-content pages and pages explicitly excluded from indexing.
Translated alternates are grouped by shared page identity rather than matching slugs. A translation that is not eligible is removed before those alternate groups are built.
Separate three decisions
Navigation determines where the site links to a page. Availability determines its access behavior and public-listing eligibility. Indexing metadata asks cooperating crawlers whether to index it.
In the page SEO tab, Exclude this page from search indexing writes an explicit exclusion. Public and direct-link pages remain indexable by default when this is off. Direct-link pages can be absent from listings and the sitemap while remaining accessible and indexable.
Password, draft, private, disabled, system-content, and preview pages also receive indexing exclusions when rendered through the relevant engine paths. Choose an appropriate access setting for confidential content; noindex and robots.txt are not authentication.
The native availability form does not expose every model state, so use only the verified controls available to your administrator.
Validate without an admin session
Open the page directly, inspect its robots metadata, and search the sitemap for its full address. Check the actual password or disabled behavior separately. Existing search results may take time to change after updated crawler guidance.
