Temporary website addresses and custom domains

Documentation / Site administration and domains

Beeboo offers an internal website address and a custom-domain mode. Read the current domain screen for the actual address, because workspace staging domains can differ. Do not derive a temporary hostname from the website name or an older example.

Find the current address

Open Settings > Domain. The Beeboo Subdomain section displays Subdomain with an Open link. The Custom Domain section contains Active domain, with Use Beeboo subdomain and Use custom domain choices.

The temporary address works only while the active domain is set to Use Beeboo subdomain. The current interface explicitly disables that address while custom-domain mode is active. It is not a permanent public alias to rely on after switching.

Change modes deliberately

To use a custom address, choose Use custom domain, enter the hostname in the domain field, and choose Save domain setting. Saving stores the website's setting. It does not create hosting-domain records, edit your registrar account, or complete DNS verification.

Continue with DNS & Verification and the hosting-domain creation action. Apply only the DNS records shown for this site and check verification before distributing the custom address.

To return to the internal address, select Use Beeboo subdomain and save. Treat this as a routing change: review shared links and expected visitor behavior rather than assuming both modes remain active together.

Keep access separate from routing

A reachable address does not make a private website public. Whole-site visibility and page availability still apply. Test with an ordinary visitor session that has no private-preview access.

If the displayed address does not resolve, verify the saved mode, workspace domain configuration, and hosting status with the administrator. See domain administration and search visibility and sharing before launch.
