Site identity, logos, and favicons
Documentation / Site administration and domains
Website identity settings supply shared information such as the site name, logo, and favicon. They are separate from an individual page's title, navigation label, and social-sharing image. Start by selecting the intended website, then open Settings > General > Settings.
Update the identity fields
Review Site Name and the displayed site ID and domain so you know which website you are changing. The ID is an identifier, not branding copy. Renaming the website does not by itself change its domain or rewrite page URLs.
Use the Logo field or Upload logo action to select an approved asset. Check the preview after the upload or URL change. Use Favicon or Upload favicon for the browser-tab icon. The interface accepts an asset reference and provides a preview; it does not mean every image will remain legible at icon size.
Choose a logo with suitable contrast against the actual header background. For a favicon, use a simple mark that remains recognizable when reduced. Keep original source artwork outside the CMS so it can be re-exported when necessary.
Save and check the result
Choose Save Settings and wait for confirmation. Open a public page and inspect the header on desktop and mobile. Check the browser tab as well as a fresh tab or browser session, since favicon caching can preserve an older image.
If the logo remains unchanged, verify the saved reference and whether a custom shell supplies its own image source. Changing a native setting does not necessarily replace an asset hard-coded in custom shared source. If an image is missing, test the asset URL and access rather than uploading repeated copies.
For shared presentation choices, continue with design and styling. For page-specific previews, see search visibility and sharing.
